First Grade Information - Email sent out to parents 8/26
Dear Parents of Incoming 1st Graders,
I hope you and your families are safe, healthy, and enjoying the summer. As we are looking toward the beginning of the school year, I wanted to share with you some details that may be helpful in getting ready.
You can find my webpage on our school website- https://christthekingschool.
My main source of communication is through the Remind App. You can connect with our class by downloading the Remind App on any Android or IOS device. My class code is @11ctk21. You can also text @11ctk21 to 81010 and follow the prompts to join. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions on how to join Remind.
Our Back to School Night for Prek, Kindergarten and First Grade is on Wednesday, September 8th at 7 PM. Feel free to bring your child’s supplies that night so that they do not need to carry them into school throughout the week. The supply list that was included in your child’s summer packet can be found below. You may also bring the Class Fee during back to school night. If you can NOT make it to BTSN, please let me know how your child is getting home the first two days of school: Car rider, North walker or South walker.
First grade reports for their first day of school on Thursday, September 9th. The first two days of school will be a 12:00 dismissal. Your child does NOT need a lunch but will need a drink and a snack. The children may wear their gym uniforms (which is the optional summer uniform) for the beginning of the school year: gym t-shirt or any other CTK t-shirt, blue mesh shorts with the CTK logo, white/black ankle socks, and sneakers.
As you know COVID-19 issues have become more prevalent in our area again and you should have received an email from Mr. Tschopp including an outline of what this school year will look like in regards to COVID protocols, as well as a letter from the Archdiocese. If you did not receive those emails, please let me know.
I can't wait to meet you child and get started on a great school year! Enjoy the remaining days of summer and please email me or message me on Remind with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Ms. Nichols
