Students from kindergarten to eighth grade receive weekly classes in technology. Our lab contains over 30 computers, a wireless printer, a 3D printer, a projector and internet access for the entire school.
Each week students learn typing and formatting skills. Children are taught how to create spreadsheets and graphs in Excel. They’re taught different formatting techniques in Microsoft Word. Students create PowerPoint projects, as well as projects in Google Slides. Students and teachers are skilled in using Google classroom, Google Drive and Google Docs.
This year, Christ the King School was blessed with a new media room. Our media room boasts close to a hundred Chromebooks, as well as a wireless printer. This additional technology enables our students to use computers in their classrooms.
The primary students are able to use iPads, which include numerous apps. We are fortunate to have enough iPads to accommodate all of our primary students.
CTK Tech Crew has spent countless hours learning coding this year. CTK Tech Crew stays after school to become versed in programming video games. Several of our classes have already begun programming video games, including Kindergarten. This spring all classes will learn coding.
Please view the projects our students have created, which are displayed outside of the lab.
