Back to School Video:




All students must have a mask on to enter the school building.  Also, they should have more than one mask.  The other must be stored in a labeled sealed container.  Please practice having your child wearing their masks at home so they can get used to wearing them during the school day.  Each student is asked to have their own travel sized hand sanitizer.


Weekly Folder
The children will bring home a weekly folder each week.  In the folder will be test, projects or important papers. Please check and sign this folder every weekend. Attached to this folder is the monthly calendar.

Calendar

The students will receive a monthly calendar which I will use for their behavior and missing homework.  I will mark their calendar if there is a behavioral issue or if your child missed a Homework assignment. This comes home in the Friday folder.

 

Behavior

All students deserve an education and an environment in which they can learn. If one student's behavior is affecting others or the whole class, I will address this with your child. If I do not see an improvement, my next step is to contact a parent or guardian. Please know if I am reaching out to you this has already been an on going issue we could not resolve in class.  Students that are having problems with behavior or following directions will not be able to go on field trips or participate in special events.  Field trips are a privilege, not a right. This privilege must be earned.  The children need to be accountable for their actions and know there are consequences.

Classroom Rules

5. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
6. Sit in a chair the right way

Dress Code

Girl's Uniform - Grades 1 - 5
Uniform plaid jumper
Red knit shirt - long/short sleeve
Red knee socks/tights
Red sweater with CTK logo - button front
Uniform shoes - black/white saddles or navy saddles

Makeup, nail polish, large or excessive jewelry are not permitted. (Earrings should be post only - no hoops; 1 pair only. Buttons or pins should not be worn unless they are given through school. A religious medal may be worn. Skirts and jumpers are to be worn no more than 2" above the knee.  Shirts are to be tucked in and buttoned.

Boy's Uniform - Grades 1 - 8
Navy blue dress trousers
Light blue knit shirts with a banded waist with a CTK logo - long/short sleeve
Belt - Grades 5 - 8 No belt needed with a banded waist.
Uniforms shoes - blue/black (NO SNEAKERS)
Trousers should not be denim or corduroy. Earrings are not permitted.

Gym Uniform - Girls and Boys - Grades 1 - 8
Navy blue sweatshirt with CTK logo
Navy blue sweatpants with or without CTK logo

Gym uniforms are to be worn on the assigned day. CTK team sweatpants, as well as hooded sweatshirts, may not be worn for gym class. No jewelry is to be worn on gym day.

Report Cards:

Students will receive report cards every trimester. We will be using the numerical grading system. This is the first time in which the children will receive a number value on their report card.
