Through social media, we asked former CTK students to tell us about their experiences at CTK and how their Catholic education has impacted them over the years. We'd love to hear from you, too. Please send us your thoughts about the years you spent at CTK to [email protected]
My name is Theresa and I graduated Christ the King in June 1978. My education has instilled values, manners, pride in myself and my community, consideration, and tolerance towards others. I can speak professionally and grammatically correct. I feel that my education has made me a better mother, aunt, sister, daughter, congregant, and employee. I value the education that I received at Christ the King every day. - Theresa, Class of '78
Whenever I return to Christ the King, I feel like I’m home. During my seven years as a student at CTK, the teachers and faculty taught me academic and life lessons I continue to use today. Learning was both organized and fun. If I didn’t understand exactly what a word meant or how to finish a math problem, I always felt comfortable approaching the teachers who were more than happy to give me as much help as I needed. Even during the messy trials of growing up, the CTK family showed me love and worth in everything they did. The Catholic teachings provided me with a moral framework that is ingrained in how I think and act. Much of what I experienced during my time as a student is carried over today. As an alumna, I know I can walk into that school if I need advice on academics or life. Currently, I’m in love with educating myself, and I owe much of that feeling to CTK. Associating myself with CTK is something I hold dear to my heart and forever will. I am CTK proud. - Shealyn, Class of '09
CTK is family. My eight years of Catholic school education instilled in me the values of the person I am today. It was quite the honor of having all three of my children attend and graduate in the grade school I attended. The compliments I receive on my children stem from their Catholic school experience. I'm glad to see the school still standing in these times. - Michael, Class of '79
